LET GOD SUSTAIN YOU
Luke 10: 38-42
"Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus feet and heard His word.
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
Martha was anxious and busy with many things and she could not treasure the Presence of Jesus in that place.
But Mary knew that Jesus was God on earth, it was something extraordinary... she couldn't lose one minute without her attention on Him.
Once we know Jesus, we can't continue living a normal life anymore!!!
Mary chose the good part and she was free. Jesus was setting her free because of her choice!
Even seeing Martha busy and doing what was usual before they met Jesus, she didn't feel guilty nor tempted to go back.
She continued firm, knowing that Jesus would sustain her from now on.
The people in the wilderness were tempted to trust the arm of flesh again, the predicted, obvious and routine provision...
But God's will was that they learned to trust and depend on Him.
Peter and the other disciples were working and Jesus said: 'Follow me', and they left all and followed Him.
Some people today dedicate their life and time to “make money”.
Jesus has called them many times to follow Him, to spend time in His Presence, observing His glory, learning from Him; Following Him and reaching the amazing purpose and destiny that He dreamed for them.
But when they begin to have their faith tested, they feel insecure and afraid, forgetting to trust the Lord...
Hearing the voice of the enemy, they give up fast and grab once again the old option, which is providing for themselves, trusting their own arms, arms of flesh.
And they work hard all over again and ignore the voice of the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 2: 26
"To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.
This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
We please God when we walk BY FAITH!
If you are one of these people that abandon faith when trials come and hold on to fear, God wants to set you free!
Do you believe it is possible to be free and not a slave to your job anymore?
Yes! It is possible!
"By humility and the fear of the LORD
Are riches and honor and life." (Prov. 22: 4)
Are riches and honor and life." (Prov. 22: 4)
We don't need to dedicate ourselves to the things of this world but to the eternal.
Jesus tells us to not labor for the food that spoils, but for the eternal.
John 6: 27
"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
Jesus will always sustain us.
If He sustained the disciples why not us today, if nothing has changed, He is alive and eternal and so are we!
He calls us to follow Him just like He called them!
Matthew 17: 27
"Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you."
(Luke 12: 22-33)
" Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys."
As you see in that verse, He gave us the Kingdom!
Luke 16: 13
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Matthew 19:27-29
Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”
So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life."
One of the symbols of Egypt is the serpent.
What does it do?
It tries, little by little, to convince us to ignore the voice of God.
Then, we stop doing His will and start doing our will.
Jeremiah 43: 1-7
"Now it happened, when Jeremiah had stopped speaking to all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent to them, all these words,
that Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah, "You speak falsely! The LORD our God has not sent you to say, 'Do not go to Egypt to dwell there.'
"But Baruch the son of Neriah has set you against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death or carry us away captive to Babylon."
So Johanan the son of Kareah, all the captains of the forces, and all the people would not obey the voice of the LORD, to remain in the land of Judah.
But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces took all the remnant of Judah who had returned to dwell in the land of Judah, from all nations where they had been driven-
men, women, children, the king's daughters, and every person whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neriah.
So they went to the Land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the LORD. And they went as far as Tahpanhes."

Have faith and trust that Jesus will always defend your choice, just like He defended Mary's when Martha bothered her, and your choice will move the mountains and the obstacles of your life!
Luke 10: 42
"But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
Jesus is the One calling you!
You've made your choice...
Now, just stay firm and trust Him to take care of the rest.
Begin to follow Jesus by faith, and you will see the solutions for your questions like "how", being answered by Him!
He reveals the next steps! The way He wants you to go!
But He is waiting for your first step of courage and perseverance in following Him and loving Him above all things!
Isaiah 49: 3-4 and 7
"He said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, in whom I will display my splendor. ”
But I said, “I have labored in vain;
I have spent my strength for nothing at all.
Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand,
and my reward is with my God.”
Thus says the Lord,
The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One,
To Him whom man despises,
To Him whom the nation abhors,
To the Servant of rulers:
“Kings shall see and arise,
Princes also shall worship,
Because of the Lord who is faithful,
The Holy One of Israel;
And He has chosen You.”
