THE LAW IS LOVE

"Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
(Romans 13: 8)

We have the duty to love one another, this is the law of the Kingdom of God. When we withhold love we are in debt before God.

"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;”

(Romans 12: 9-10)

The miracles of Jesus happen when He is moved with compassion. And it will happen thru us when we are moved with compassion as well.

The Kingdom of God can't grow, renew, move on, if love is not DEMONSTRATED.

"Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is a high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”

 (Romans 13: 10-12)

When we ignore or despise a sister or a brother, we are disobeying the law of God.

"But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”
(Romans 14: 10)

So, we shouldn't think that only because we feel love for a person we are loving them. Without bringing that love out of our hearts, no work will be done. And that person may not know you love them.

1 John 3: 18
"My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

It is necessary to transform love into actions.

Romans 12: 5-8
"so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them:

If prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

Or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;

He who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”

If we want to be "perfect", there is no use to be religious because love is what perfects us.

It is better to love that crazy sinner, believing in him, calling him closer, praying for him, encouraging him, than to avoid him with fear to be hurt or "contaminated".

I feel that Paul was a little like that, my impression of him is that he was harsh and preferred to be closer to the blameless people.

But Jesus used to approach, and call closer to Himself the worst and broken ones! And He is the same today!!

Matthew 5: 46-48
"For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
"And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

We must love people who bother us, those ones that we "don't approve" and don't admire. It is necessary to change our vision.

Romans 15: 5-7
"Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.”

If Jesus loved us the way He did, we can't think that someone is “worse than us” or that the person doesn't deserve our love.

1 Corínthians 12: 22-23
"No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.

And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,”

"but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it,

That there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.”

1 Corínthians 12: 24-25

When we humble ourselves, God's power fills us.

To humble ourselves means to avoid sitting on thrones, but to honor one another giving the glory to the Lord.

Matthew 18: 4
"Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

In the first verse of this message (Romans 13: 18), the Lord teaches us that we have a constant debt with one another which is love.

The deeper we go into this, the more excellently we serve Jesus.

It is not possible to desire to see people being healed in their souls or hearts without loving them first.

Faith without love doesn't bring us anywhere.
