The revelation of the fear VS The revelation of the rest
All of us have moments of these two revelations.
The revelation of the fear:
When we have revelations coming from fear, we may think, sometimes, that it is God who is revealing them or the enemy or that we are going crazy.
But the truth is that we are full of fear.
And that fear deceives us.
It deceives our emotions in such a way that it affects our thoughts, perceptions, impressions, sureties and it makes us forget all the revelations and Promises that God already gave to us.
That fear gives us revelations. And sometimes that happens reading the Word. We read something that fills us with bad thoughts.
It's not that God is revealing something bad, it's that we are full of fear.
Of course that sometimes God does reveal something bad, but even when He does it, it doesn't give us fear.
When we feel fear it isn't God speaking.
The difficulty is, sometimes, to be able to identify that we are afraid.
Because often the fear is disguised and it looks like we are having revelations or that God is speaking or something like that.
"Those who trust in the Lord
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever."
Salmos 125: 1
The revelation of the rest:
These are revelations coming from God.
There are no revelations of rest that are not from God. Because the Spirit of God is a Spirit of rest.
This Spirit takes all the fear away and brings rest when we are needing it. This Spirit of rest may come to bring us more rest when we are already relaxed, but He loves to come and calm down our anxiety and desperation.
The revelations of the rest are full of the Presence and the Glory of God.
It builds us, it roots us in faith, surety, and joy.
But, even so, once in a while fear comes and makes us forget all of that.
That's why it's important to become quick to identify when this spirit of fear comes to unsettle us.
When we identify it, without falling in it, it gets easier to move away from it and come back to the balance of the revelation of the rest.
I've heard someone preach that we have to be careful with fear because we can, with our fear, make happen what we are afraid of.
I totally disagree with that. God never demanded that we were super-heroes.
Of course, we are allowed to be humans and feel fear once in a while because that doesn't make anything happen, it only afflicts us.
The love and the Grace of God are way bigger than our fears and way more powerful too. Protecting us with faithfulness and safety. Delivering us from evil. Blessing us no matter how humans we are.
To feel fear is human, it's normal.
Even the animal sheep feel fear once in a while. But she's not alone. She has a Shepherd.
And even if she walks towards a dangerous direction because of the fear, her Shepherd will take her and remove her from there.
Besides that, He will hug her and remove the fear from her.
Fear doesn't have any power.
Never be afraid of being afraid.
Fear damages us at the moment we feel it, but it doesn't have any power over anything.
Don't be deceived nor oppressed by preachers who use the verse of Job to prove that their point is in the Word.
The only thing that Job said was that "what he feared came over him."
Since when everything Job says is law and absolute rule? Didn't he speak so much bullshit when he was suffering?
Here Job was only making a comment.
Just because what he feared came over him it doesn't mean that then fear brings what we fear. This is a demonic wisdom.
And preachings like that are oppressive and don't come from God but from the enemy.
(We must be careful because that's how heresies are born.)
The revelation of the rest destroys all the lies of the revelation of the fear.
That's why it's important to be in the Word daily hearing the voice of God.
It's important to take note of the revelations of the Spirit of rest. It's important to be more and more firm in these revelations so that we may depart from the spirit of the fear when it comes.
This spirit is human, it's not always an attack from the enemy. Many times it's just our fear.
Fear affects our minds a lot.
But only the voice of God removes those deceits.
That's why it's of extreme importance to seek the voice of God daily.
The more contact we have with the Glory of God that it's in the revelations coming from Him, the more easily we can exclude the evil thoughts that try to come against them.
The Promises are the truth. The voice of God is the truth. It's necessary to not only be firm in that but also to pray for the ones who do not hear the voice of God. Because it is it that breaks the deceits of the fear.
"God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah"
Salmos 46: 1-3
