Everybody knows what circumcision is. But there is a circumcision mentioned in the New Testament that few know. It is the circumcision of the heart. That circumcision is done by God. The Word of God is a sword that penetrates into our hearts and many times it hurts and bothers. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 When we read something that bothers us in the Word, something that looks like God is criticizing us, it's necessary to agree with God. Because God is showing us something that we need to see and admit, so that He may make a change. And when He shows that, it bothers.
