How to walk in the light

First, we need to understand what is light.

The light is the truth. And they are both also the Word of God.

It is impossible to walk in the light without reading the Bible.

"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."
John 17: 17

Without reading the Bible constantly, (Because His Word renews itself each time we read it, yes, it's a mystery), we don't have knowledge of the truth and it gets difficult to walk in the light because we are not seeing the light.

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”"
John 8:31-32

Walking according to what God says in the Bible it is the same as walking in a safe, firm, free path... that is to walk in the light.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path."
Salmos 119:105

When we walk in the light we have nothing to fear, we are full of courage.
Having light to walk is to have answers, exits, solutions, comfort, encouragement, strength and everything we need to walk safe and strong.

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”"
John 8:12

To walk in the truth is the same thing as walking in the light. But the difference is that to walk in the truth something is required from us.

For us to walk in the truth it's necessary that we have the courage to be ourselves, transparent and authentic, sincere and just, doing good and loving our neighbor.

If we are unjust, liars, fake and impure we are not walking in the truth and consequently, we are not walking in the light.

Truth is goodness. One does not exist without the other.

Truth is transparency and sanctity.

Without these things, we are not walking in the light.

Having a sincere heart is very important but without sanctity, there is no permanency in the truth.

Only the Holy Spirit can make this purification. But our part is to remain in the Word. Because the Word sanctifies us.

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
1 John 1:7

Something I can say from experience is that the first step to being able to walk in the truth is to face the fear of men.
That fear is often subconscious.

Sometimes we are afraid of many people, or of people in general, or of certain people.

It's necessary to face that fear. Because only facing it is what will cause us to walk in the truth.

If you are going to start or is starting to read the Bible, I advise you to read the Book of Proverbs and 1, 2 and 3 John.
